That said, you’re correct. It’s reasonable to clean glasses before a prayer or after one but definitely not during one. And I say that as one who has always used glasses.

Mark probably thought Claw would have his eyes closed during the prayer, making it what should have been the only safe time to clean his glasses.

For that he could have made a quick trip to the washroom and do it there. Also his x-ray vision gives hi coping mechanisms not available to the rest of us. ^_^

I’m siding with Claw on this one.
He should’ve been told the truth a long time ago, at least when Claw’s sister got engaged to Mark. But no, instead they just chuckled whenever he didn’t get their subtle references which no one would get unless they were already in on it. CC has every right to be mad.

Where did that fork that Claw bend come from? In one panel Claw’s hands are folded in prayer like everyone else’s and the silverware is all wrapped up in the napkins. Then in the third panel Claw is holding and bending a fork while his mother is still in the same prayer. Then in the forth panel all the silver remains seemingly undisturbed in the napkins and the bent fork is nowhere to be seen. What gives?
