Hah! I just realized why I was so confused. Accidently hit “Random” instead of “Next” on the last page. It was the start of a new arc, and while there were some new things I assumed the comic was simply alluding to events that happened off screen. I even went back to the first page SEVERAL times to make sure I hadn’t started at the wrong spot, but for the most part the narrative was making perfect sense. Finally figured it out when Fang woke up from a coma and a commenter linked to when he was last seen.
TL;DR I feel like a bit of a fool, but Poetically Psychotic is back on track!
