Worthy of Kevin McCallister.
Let’s look at a new Comic of the week. The Empathy Drive explores mankind reaching out to the stars to find new life, new worlds, and make an impact on them. Mankind was no ready, and flees, leaving wrecked civilizations behind. This comic is about those that were left in the chaos. It’s a neat twist on some old tropes.

Even more evil than a Rape-atron 5000?

Type “1d4” in google.

There’s a reason caltrops do 1d4 damage in D&D, as anyone who’s ever stepped on one can attest.

Better hope he hasn’t learned the sweeping shuffle. It isn’t a perfect counter, but knowing how to gingerly step while your foot sweeps aside toy obstructions – yes, even Legos! – is a vital skill for parents and lazy, lazy children. 😉

Say goodbye to your elastic waistband too. Sagging undergarments are no fun at a sprint.

WOW.
This is one for the record books.

Am I the one worried about her potentially letting someone else use or even reverse engineer such a dangerous device?
Even if it’s close range, you could cause a lot of damage – there is a lot of things that rely on leather and rubber. (Cars, plumbing, cows…)

You… have a point actually… developing this into a bomb of sorts and then deploying them discreetly around a city… Could even change out the legos for proper caltrops and ooof…
The city could eventually adapt other materials to get by on provided it survives the initial hit, but still the initial damage to the city would be catastrophic. Complete destruction of transportation industry within the city. No cars, no semis, even foot traffic would be far more difficult.

That’s why you include a self destruct. Just needs a bit of acid. Not enough to eat through the outer casing. Just enough to turn the circuitry into a slurry of metal and plastic. Set it to go off shortly after the device’s activation.

Heck, build the acid’s container wholly or partially out of rubber.

with a machine that liquifies leather, I would be worried about people getting skinned alive.
By winger Tue Jun 13th 2017 at 5:08 pm
leather is treated hide so regular hide and skin should be fine
By Vulcan Tue Jun 13th 2017 at 9:37 pm
It’s the ‘should be’ part that always concerns me…

I can attest to the pain of Legos on bare feet myself!
