I -just now- noticed, and think it’s hilarious, that What-‘is’-name’s head and masked are shaped exactly the same as Claw’s! ๐ ๐ ๐
By Gianluca Burdon Tue Mar 13th 2018 at 12:33 am
Most of noticed it from Day One

“Most” of you are sharper eyed than me. ๐

Hmm… Me thinks those heroes were trying to go undercover.

One hopes! ^_^;

Just ran a quick look back at the arc to see who’d the likely candidates would be. The most likely are:
– GooFather who’d probably be trying to get dirt on Claw or steal his Time-Loop Generator
and
– Wi-Fu who’s powers would allow her to instantly stream all of Claws illegal activities
Of course if it isn’t for undercover work, then the most likely candidates are:
– Habanero Devil in the event that his company went bust
and
– Morf (if Claw counts him as a member of Actioneer’s team) who’d lkely been seeking respect and revenge

Damn, double posted. Sorry! ๐

Anyone else think that Actioneer probably took “one of this world’s greatest fools” as a compliment? Or that he’s probably at least more offended by the “one of” part than the “fools” part?
By Bracey Wed Mar 14th 2018 at 6:25 am
Im inclined to agree with you on all points here.
By Ladon Mon Mar 12th 2018 at 5:56 am
I agree with Burdonโs assessment. Germania has far too much pride from what weโve seen of her to throw in with Claw, not to mention it runs counter to her plans to make Germany more well loved in the world to work with a super-villain. And Focus seems like he has too much dignity. Also, his rescue oriented mindset wouldnโt fit well with the profit-first mindset of the Clawโs group. Alpha and Omega are too lawful good. Not to mention they could never be spies. Theyโre as subtle as a bag of bricks. Two bags of bricks. A bag of impossibly forceful bricks and a bag of impossibly durable bricks. That subtle. And Blaze? Yeah, heโs too Justice crazy for that. I mean, he tried to cleanse a soul with hellfire. No way would he work for a villain. So, yeah, Devil, Father, or Wi-Fu. Only question would be why didnโt he accept (assuming he thought they were genuine which it sounds like he did)? Devil would be great with helping to manage his demon problem and Goofather is just… awesome in general. I get not wanting Wu-Fu. No kids.

Thanks. ๐ For both complimenting my assessment and my OC. Though I think Zappit may dislike GooFather due to the Nazi part of his backstory.
To make things absolutely clear, my reason for doing so was to A) Give him the perfect backstory for a villain, but have him be a hero anyway, thus showing that everybody is responsible for their own choices & actions, and B) Give an idea to how complex History truly is, especially when it comes to the Nazis, that’s why he’s had so much of an impact throughout recent history. GooFather himself knows this and knows why the Nazis believed what they believed, but also understands that it doesn’t excuse what they did & views modern day Neo-Nazis as people just looking for an excuse to be bigots.
If you want an example of the closest thing to a real-life version of the GooFather, then look up Oskar Schindler a high ranking Nazi Industrialist who sacrificed his fortune to save the lives of over 1200 Jews via Bribes and Black Market dealings, and s the only member of the Nazi Party to be buried on Mount Zion and have the title of Righteous Amongst the Nations

But, yeah, if there’s any sort of misunderstanding, then it’s my bad for not making it clearer earlier on, Zappit. There was a lot about GooFather that I’d written down, but there’s no excuse. Hindsight improves with time, and I figure it’s best to take the first opportunity I had to clear things up.
By Zappit Mon Mar 12th 2018 at 10:34 am
No misunderstandings, Gianluca. I just wanted to make a joke about the Actioneer’s poor leadership. That’s why I didn’t name any names.
By Gianluca Burdon Mon Mar 12th 2018 at 10:56 am
Relieved to hear that. ๐ ๐ ๐
Though my worries came from Panel 4 of The Action Faction Part 2, I recognize that it too is a joke, but a while after the Arc ended I started worrying I’d given off the wrong impression.
Again, glad to hear that no such misunderstanding happened. Keep up the great work on the comic! ๐

Wi-fu would do way worse for healthcare benefits. Just so you know. ๐

I can see it potentially being Focus, based partially on his powers. Everything’s Telekinesis, but there’s variants on use… and let’s just say that one of them’s an easy way to cut things and kill people. And we haven’t really seen enough of him, or any of the “Action Squad” to really say much about their long-term mentality here.
That said, with how useful his powers are, I feel like Focus would only do henching if he thought that he gained opportunities to rank-up into a position where he could use them.
Additionally, I didn’t really give much details about him to Zappit beyond “Short (dwarf sized), Black & These are his powers”. Mostly because I wanted him to fit “minority” groups often missed or outright ignored in the Superhero Genre (really short people, aka dwarfs, are nearly completely missing unless it relates to their powers, and black people are relatively rarer, particularly black people without having “black” in their name for some stupid reason).
By Gianluca Burdon Wed Mar 14th 2018 at 5:15 am
Well, since everyone else is going about how their OC would’ve applied for henchmanship, I guess I will to.
As earlier specified the reason would be “to get dirt on Claw or steal his Time-Loop Generator “, but the interesting thing is that even if he applied he probably still could’ve infiltrated Claw’s organization. The initial call could’ve been to get Claw to lower his guard, then GooFather could just become a Henchman (or maybe Henchwoman) by assuming a false identity, after all, GooFather is a Master Ninja and he does have the resources to create a full-proof fake identity via the Onorabile Mafia
By PandaKidYJ Tue Mar 13th 2018 at 4:58 am
She would definitely still keep the name, though, no matter how many people (rightfully) tell her to change it. Because of that teen edginess.

Yatu? Is that you? Did ya change your username?

Actioneer! Sweet I love that guy, perfect moment for him to interject himself into the story once more.
