Did any of you see that coming?
Hey, new week, new featured comic. We’ve got Folklore this week.
When a coup for power sends the world’s superhuman population into all out war, humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction. In their final hour a weapon designed to strip power from all superhumans is unleashed. On some, it works. Others become something far worse.

Gee. Date night is an actual date. Shocking. 😀

I love the way the pupil on his amulet contracted in shock.

I think he just spat up his own liver…
By 7thsealord Mon Oct 30th 2017 at 1:12 pm
Better that than somebody else’s liver.

… A-N-D, considering his choice of vocation(s), probably has.
By TheItzal Tue Oct 31st 2017 at 7:29 pm
As a paralegal? Yeah he probably has.
By Targ Collective Mon Oct 30th 2017 at 4:18 pm
As I recall, his predecessors took vows of ‘pocerty and solitude’. Celibacy was definitely not metioned…
By Targ Collective Mon Oct 30th 2017 at 4:18 pm
Gah! *Poverty*!
By Random Guy Tue Oct 31st 2017 at 5:08 am
When you are broke and alone the celibacy takes care of itself.
By winger Tue Oct 31st 2017 at 9:52 pm
and don’t forget he never made the same vow

Dayum, she went from a 1 to a 10 on the clinger scale in no time flat. Flee, Paralegal, flee!
By Malic Wed Nov 1st 2017 at 12:26 pm
She just went for it. She didn’t kidnap the man, yes she did drag him along, but she didn’t flat out force or threaten him. He begrudgingly went along for the ride, probably assuming she wanted his help testing out her disguise. For a fiery immortal lady, who’s only knowlege of a romantic relationship being from chick-flicks and whatever she learned before, this isn’t half bad; certainly with who her brother is. He probably would have threatened his supposed date and killed a few people along the way. There are real people, that should know better, who have done a lot worse. As long as she didn’t try to kill me, hurt anyone I love, or be generally horrible, I’d be fine with it.

Yes!!

What’s the betting she’s got a hell of a figure under that bulky outfit and is dressing like that so she can not draw undue attention in public? (Since her whole reason for doing this is wanting to blend in)
By Marscaleb Tue Oct 31st 2017 at 3:43 am
The eye on his necklace reacting was a nice touch!
By Thoth Tue Oct 31st 2017 at 4:15 am
Well, interested in humanity, now has a human form, and so can now explore human behaviors more directly. Also, we have seen her taste in movies. So no, not too surprising really.
The amulets reaction was what really made the joke.
By Shamdon Wed Nov 1st 2017 at 12:30 pm
And the Paralegal broke.

It’s the eye that seals it. Holy heck, that eye just is the mvp here of the panels. The final panel of shock is just something else here. I’m crying in laughter.

only one thing can fix this (and by fix I mean make it funnier) tequila shots, and lots of them.
By Thisguy Wed Apr 25th 2018 at 1:37 am
I saw it coming,
…But I REALLY didn’t see her calling him a good “mate”
By Hinoron Tue Mar 12th 2019 at 11:03 am
“Did we see that coming”?
Since at least when she grabbed him and demanded to be taken on a date, yes.
The foreshadowing of learning she was assimilating, and that the search of her room discovered all rom-com movies were good hints that made this more believable.
