I’m guessing that he just likes trying out the characteristics of different mammals. Either way, the question is how; it looks like his body is human so… genetics? Grafting and transplants? Extreme plastic surgery?

Superhero/Villain Genetic Surgery works like this. Basically, by gene splicing an animal into themselves, they can acquire the appearance and/or characteristics of said animal. How well it works and how much of their human self remains depends on numerous variables and their own skill level. It’s just that, in the real world, “splitting” or “combining” genes of a full grown adult (which we can’t actually do yet) wouldn’t result in physical changes.
