Is it cowardly to run if it isn’t your fight? The Crimson Claw didn’t think so.

Only fools throw their lives away in battles they could never win.

Bravely got out of there… sounds like an oxymoron.

Better then being a plain moron.

I feel a quote from Pappy Maverick is appropriate here: “A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero only one. A thousand to one, sounds like pretty good odds to me”.

Better than Cravenly Beaten to Death too.

1)Beelzebubba might be one of the best names ever, and I am jealous.
2)CC’s hot stepping is the best. Classic.

Beelzebubba was my favorite Dead Milkmen album.

I think it’s everyone’s favorite Dead Milkmen album 🙂

To answer your question, no, not cowardly in the least. In the history of warfare, only idiots have walked into battles that couldn’t be won. Most of the greatest generals in history became so good because they mastered what is probably the most important military maneuver ever conceived.
The tactical retreat.
on a side note, I feel like Defender X isn’t Meat, everyone seems to think he is, and it just feels like it’s too obvious.
By AceOfSpade Tue Aug 11th 2015 at 12:18 am
I hadn’t read previous comments so I didn’t knew this theory but… it could explain the claw marks on Meat’s head. Crimson Claw defeat Defender X, slashing his head, destroying some kind of mind control device in the process, Meat is grateful for being freed and stay’s as CC’ss loyal second in command…
Maybe it’s too obvious, but it’s a valid possibility.

Yeah, not really cowardly unless you have a reasonable chance to win and you’re giving it up… Besides, what’s a villain expected to do, stand up and risk his life fighting for the other backstabbing jackasses just because the heroes say they are all the same?

Wait, they were after the same item that he was? Then what would have been the point of muscling into their superfight? The chance to get killed by them as well as by Defender X when they decided that he was a claimjumper? o_O
I’d say that he had got his objective so the best thing to do was get out their while both sides were diverting the other’s attention from him and he clearly had done the right thing by doing so.
