So your comic about a Super Villain is now in a group called “Collective of Heroes.” Yep, makes perfect sense. 😛

Not sure which is worse. That Meat didn’t even break stride in the conversation while beating the fear of god into the mugger or that Lori, despite being weirded out by what Meat did, is still hanging around XD

I believe the correct word is “impressive”… at least I am not sure which is more impressive, that Meat could dispatch a knife-wielding assailant while continuing his train of thought or that Lori is at worst a bit stunned but not doing anything stupid. Yet. 😉
The only reason what Meat did was probably excessive is:
1) It’s Meat and his tendency to resort to violence in a hilarious but disproportionate manner was established early on.
2) This strip isn’t so dark that the mugger would likely have “behaved.” had Meat not been there.
So yeah, Meat being Meat I am assuming he didn’t have to break the guys arm but if this same situation had Captain America, you’d assume it was a necessity. With Batman, still probably a necessity but there is a little more leeway.

Not gonna say it was disproportionate in this case. Sure Meat vastly outclasses the thug but the thug technically was aiming his knife at a lady. Meat is just that much of a gentleman to defend his lady friend from the brute attempting to rob her and teach said brute a lesson 😉
But just saying it says something about both Meat and Lori that Meat seemingly didn’t need to pause the conversation to take care of the wannabe tough and that Lori hasn’t deemed it necessary yet to find an excuse to flee in terror from Meat XD

Meat probably didn’t HAVE to break his arm. Meat also didn’t HAVE to let him live so the mugger got off pretty lucky.

Just finished the archives and am now up to date.
You have a great comic, here!

That mugger got off lightly considering who he tried to rob. That he’s even alive is probably due to Lori being present. Meat’s a gentleman like that.

The mugger will be fine, just rub some dirt on it and walk it off.

You don’t just walk off a broken arm. The thug should grab the side of the dumpster with his newly broken arm and pull while keeping his arm straight to set the bone. You don’t want the arm to heal while the bone is in the wrong place or you’ll have to break your arm again to fix it. If he is too much of a wimp or thinks he did a poor job he should just go see a doctor.
Also maybe not hang out in dark alleyways for a few weeks while the arm heals.

I have to say your comic is now one of my new favorites!

Mugger? What mugger? Love how dealing with that guy is more of a instinctive reflex. Like blinking or breathing.
Congrats on being part of the Collective! One vote closer to the top ten hoo rah!

…okay Meat is a lot hotter. He’s always been crazy dangerous – but saving his date? Oooo.

Well look at that: someone ELSE with terrible intuition when meeting new people!
