Yep comms going down can ruin the best of speeches. Poor CC now only the people nearby will know his speech and I doubt any of them will appreciate it.

That speech was so badass I’m almost anguished to see it so anticlimactically ruined. On another note, who else thinks he definitely rehearsed that?

I dunno. “Just shoot the freakin’ aliens!” sounds pretty historic to me. Not unlike something Patton or one of the other WWII generals might have said. ^_^
