If this one looks a bit…rushed, well, that’s because it was. My day job called for most of my time this week, and I had to cut a corner or two. Them’s the breaks, and I’ll own it.
Hopefully the Monday strip will absolutely REEK of effort.

It ain’t bad. I look at things this way. Any art is better than my art. I love how childish the Claw’s sense of humor is but I’m really hoping he’s mature enough to be the bigger man, here. If this is sincere, I’ll be really proud of him. Yes, I’ll be so proud of this fictional comic book character…. I may need more sleep than I’ve been getting.

I’d be proud of him as a human being…
But oh so disappointed in him as a supervillian.

What self-respecting super-villain gets superhero heat on him for assaulting a normal when he can just as easily sit back and let his son learn to defend himself in viciously efficient ways, setting him on the path to surpass his father in every way?

What Claw should say next is “Mr. Smith, I assure that if I wished you ill will your door would be of no hindrance to me. Wouldn’t it be better if you opened it willingly and saved yourself the damages?”
Or, ya know, something along those lines. I don’t think he would actually say it quite like that though.

It gets the point across well enough. OTOH, supervillains in general have a bad enough rep that any attempt by one to be peaceable / reasonable will automatically be met with suspicion.
Might be pre-judging, but I suspect Mr Smith would react similarly to, say, someone of a different ethnic, religious and/or political persuasion.

I love the giant fish eye perspective through the peephole. (which could be another euphemism….)

First you try pizzable discussion. Then, if that doesn’t work…

Ah man, now I’m hungry, and I won’t be able to get pizza for… 7 more hours. They say comedy = tragedy + time, but that’s time in the wrong direction.
