I wonder if Ultimo was protecting some of the Claw’s people/family. Be interesting to see how much crow Claw could eat.

Guessing that he was either protecting Claw’s family or his own in some way, or perhaps ferrying the wounded to medics. Or maybe dealing with some other threat, like the rest of the fleet that we don’t really see.

I still think there is going to be a big reveal that this invasion was actually Claw’s fault because of the gold he mass copied. Unless it end up a red herring, but I think it was too much of a triumph to let the main character get away with it without some sort of drawback. But this is most likely me just reading into the story too much.

Actually, I think they mentioned that the gold market has started to crash because of all the gold he has added to it. So that’s kind of a consequence.
