So are Burdock and Emma staying on full-time or are they gone after this arc?

Wait… She got the coal company owner to agree to the less than nothing deal? Super Villain or not, that’s impressive. Please tell me she got the limo too. XD
You’re practically challenging us to guess the next plot development, so my guess for what’s going to happen is that she’s going to use the alien technology to rearrange the carbon atoms in the coal into more valuable stuff like diamonds or carbon nano-tubes. It feels predictable, but it’s what I’d do.
The last panel is perfect. Anna’s pose just screams that she’s showing off and about to do something awesome. Judging by the reflection, she’s she Deserves to show off.

She had him over a barrel. He’s legally and illegally unable to profit, and she’s got the only offer on the table. Plus, he hired an assassin, and she turned him… now, if you turn up in my office having survived an assassination attempt, with the assassin willingly following? I assume I have been betrayed and am about to die.
There’s… nothing valuable about diamonds. You can make them. Most of the cost is in cutting them into pretty shapes. But you can make the raw stuff for under $200/karat.
And you don’t need space engines for carbon-nanotube anything.
But… engines do 1 thing. They convert fuel into work. I do not know what these engines use for fuel, but bet it’s pretty easy to rig them up as electrical generators. That or trying to push the planet’s orbit, but the earth is heavier than any ship fleet by a very large margin. And she’s more of a “nobody hurts my planet” gal. Electric generation is my first bet. Followed by building a planetary mass-transit system, but there’s some serious infrastructure issues to sort out before you can strap a star-engine to your subway cars.

Since you challenged us, let’s see if I can guess this
The whole switchover from Claw was just an elaborate ruse and this is a setup for her plan to take over the universe/world using the alien technology. Re-enter Claw as he has to try and stop his own daughter
Also known as I got no clue what’s coming

I don’t think so. He would be proud, I think. The other question would be what her mom and her younger self would think about it.
By Iron Ed Tue Jun 12th 2018 at 3:45 am
I’m not sure “proud” would be the right word, considering Claw just turned down the possibility of ruling the known universe himself.

shouldn’t the boxes in the reflection be moving back at an angle to the left instead of right. it is a reflection (i.e. Mirror image) right? just sayin.
By Mujaki Tue Jun 12th 2018 at 10:34 pm
I was going to say the same.

Burdock may have some ideas on how to uses these engines… They are too much for a new mechanical arm, but who knows what he can come up with…
By sandman Mon Jun 11th 2018 at 8:46 pm
Seeing as he made that arm with things laing around and some selfhelp videos from youtube he could probably make some cool stuff with some real equipment.

I really love that last panel Anna *_* Could we have that isolated in a Super Villainous poster? hehehe >w<
By Eoraptor Tue Jun 12th 2018 at 3:28 am
clearly she’s going to use the ship engines to either reverse carbon flow out of the atmosphere, or to turn all that dirty worthless coal into diamonds to finance her future operations
By randomMadman Tue Jun 12th 2018 at 9:39 am
Creating that much diamond and flooding the market with it would kill the value of diamond. Which isn’t as scarce as its price implies to begin with. Then again that may be a goal given the amount of blood involved in the diamond trade, wrecking the market seems to fit the MO she’s rocking so far with the using the system to screw over the people abusing the system.

Did Claw take the doom fortress with him? I don’t know how sturdy Coal is but it might be possible to reinforce and lift off whatever rock formations are underground. Get a nice floating island that way.

The coal energy is wasteful. Introducing a new power system based on alien tech- clean, cheap, and cool looking. Any mutations are added to the henchman population as “mini-bosses”, and the cost of living goes down worldwide as the power problem is solved, leaving time to look to bigger and better technological advances, creating more iron man style heroes in the world. All in all, the world becomes more used to dealing with the strange stuff, and thus more super friendly.

I think putting the alien engines on the surface, then using the mineral right coal as ready fuel for a clean burn to provide cleaner energy fits her M.O. And allows her to begin to threaten/incentivize other industries to her way of handling things.
By 7eggert Tue Jun 12th 2018 at 9:28 pm
We have Future-tech space engines, obviously capable of transforming energy efficiently – no big fuel tanks. Also we have mysterious crates, and a coal company.
If we are not only at an office, but also at a coal plant, it can be transformed to using coal more efficiently or to not use coal.
If it’s an office, it can be augmented, transformed or transported away. E.g. the site may be turned into a new headquarter, or it’s acutually on top of an energy source.
TL;DR. I said nothing by saying it all.

So, I basically binged your comic, which I came across on TWC (you’re now on my favs list). Thank you for the great fun!
Also, a huge shout-out to you for not drawing anime boobs – i. e. pinned-on balloons that are much too often much too big – and thus giving women in your comic more realistic proportions. Kayl… Anna looks pretty sexy in her super costume.
See ya!

This is super off topic but i swear i originally saw it recommended by Zappit. There’s a comic about this entity that hunts a group of 6 people yearly but specifically targets one of the six. It starts when there’s only 3 left. I cannot remember the name of the comic – can anyone help me out???
