I’m not really sure what point he’s making here. That she should take an example of what to do from America? Whatever he’s saying, she looks like she just got burned.
By Gianluca Burdon Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 2:24 am
Better hope she learns fr9m America’s mistake of not clearly defining what ‘arms’ mean in the 2nd amendment
By Otaku Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 4:54 am
Given how the U.S. Constitution is often creatively interpreted or flat out ignored, Gianluca Burdon, I don’t think a “clearly defining” anything would have made much of a difference. 😉
By Nealithi Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 11:09 am
Or at least the militia. Basically tweak the wording to be very very clear.
By Gianluca Burdon Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 11:45 am
Yep!
By Wizard Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 2:22 pm
Considering all the mischief it’s caused, leaving the “militia clause” out altogether probably would have been a good idea.

If you went back in time & told the founders about high speed trading, they would understand it was the same crime as the Rothchilds hiring people to kill other people’s homing pigeons. There are no new scams since Martin Luther called out the globalists & founded the protestant religions.
Founders understood that there are a small percentage of truly evil people out their who would gladly kill & lie for power/money. They have also seen how these people loot economies throughout history.

Look up the Sackler family who purposely lied about Oxycodone to cause the Opioid crisis in the US. They lied for decades about addictiveness but when their patent ran out they reformulated it just enough so it wouldn’t be powder when crushed, then they filed with the FDA that the original formulation was too dangerous to be allowed to be made into a cheap generic.
But they still sold the original formulation to Canada for over a year later. If you look up on Chinese sites about who caused the Opioid Crisis in China you might notice something

All peoples have the right to bear arms, including kinetic weapons, lasers, plasma weapons, lightsabers, and other weapons capable of being physically wielded by an individual sentient being.
By Draco Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 12:26 pm
Forgot to list the Force, psionics, and other superpowers.
By Wizard Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 2:24 pm
The founders were smart enough to know that weapons technology had changed in the past, and would change further in the future. That’s why they chose to use the generic “arms”.
By Kent Sat Mar 17th 2018 at 1:43 pm
I think the biggest mistake was putting a poorly defined reason for the right. We haven’t had a militia since the Army was formed.
By BGS Sun Mar 18th 2018 at 7:03 pm
the willingness of men at the top to kill children in such attacks is merely an inevitable byproduct of a system that would reward the most ruthless and unemotional in the Darwinian battle for power that is probably ever-present within such a Machine as it pushes the boundaries of how much power can be acquired.
The Founders were smart, in that they observed these forces all the way back at the founding. They sought to empower the individual at the expense of the machine through the Second Amendment, and to pit multiple pieces of government against each other, as a way of creating evolutionary hurdles that such a unified, omnipotent machine would have great difficulty surpassing in its development.”

Yes the militia being all able bodied free men 16yo+ should have been spelled out, just as the amendment that a jew judge decided allowed for anchor babies should have included all newpaper articles written by the author.
There is a fictional account where DR WHO took the founding fathers back in time after showing them that taxpayer money was being used to import Somali moslems (that Tom Jefferson created marines to fight) into taxpayer paid houses & given $8000 a month if free AIDS meds each to eat. The founders returned & realized they needed to write the citizenship clause + the first 10 amendments.

take a pointer from a nation with a long history of racism that is basically at war since it founding. Great idea for a galactic union. I fell like the Swiss would be a better option.
By Draco Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 12:24 pm
I’m pretty sure he is saying to just set up a galactic republic with representatives from every member of the alliance.
By Otaku Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 3:39 pm
I hope he’s saying more than that: unless Zappit intentionally makes such a concept foreign (or forgotten) to the alliance, it seems like a given. Hmm… as someone about to give a little lecture about how, for its flaws and perceived flaws, the Constitution of the United States of America actually offers more than that, I really should not take it for granted, either. 😉 Maybe that is what Actioneer means, but I’m hoping some of the finer points were also part of the appeal. For example, creating a constitutional republic and not a pure democracy, because you need laws and principles to keep the tyranny of the majority in check. Another example would be the oft-maligned electoral college; for its flaws, it offers many benefits over relying on just the popular vote or giving each state an equal say in the election.

The US constitution had the opportunity to abolish slavery a century before Lincoln (at about the same time many other countries already were doing so). Instead, they doubled down on it, moving backwards socially.
Article 4, Section 2, Clause 2:
Rendition Clause: Free states are required to return escaped slaves back to their owners.
They also gave slave states a lot of extra political power to bribe them into joining, which would make abolishing slavery virtually impossible through any means short of fighting the deadliest war in US history.
The Constitution…
-didn’t guarantee rights for all citizens
-didn’t guarantee equal protection under the law
-didn’t allow black or female citizens to vote for another century.
“Constitution worship” today, seems especially popular in former slave states. Not hard to see why. I imagine it gets mentioned a lot in KKK, neo-nazi, and alt-right meetings as well. Lots of encouragement and justifications to be found there if you want to look for it.
As a final question to those Americans who continue to think of this scrap of old paper as something that makes them special:
Do you somehow imagine that EVERY other country in the world DOESN’T have a constitution, or similarly functioning document, by whichever name?
By Gianluca Burdon Fri Mar 16th 2018 at 2:37 am
You know, I think it’ll be a real missed opportunity if the Action Faction doesn’t show up. It could be funny to have them interact with thier old boss/founder after all this time… or at least get a few laughs from a chat between A.V. and Goofather since they’ve both fa n created OCs that are Mafia bosses
But, hey, I don’t write the story. Let’s see where Zappit takes us

Your description of the Actioneer made me laugh out loud.

He’s pointing out how the very problem she’s worried about was solved by a relatively primitive country a long time ago, and how she didn’t pick up on that.
By Ladon Sun Mar 18th 2018 at 1:19 am
It wasn’t though. That was an already united nation. Not completely of course, they were a collection of colonies, but they were generally from the same place. These are hundreds of different races with very little in common. They are pretty much sovereign from each other. It’s a totally different problem from that which faced America.
By Gianluca Burdon Sun Mar 18th 2018 at 3:57 am
Well they were all oppressed by the Emporer and fought against him, and not all of the people in the colonies were from Britain, some were from France, Spain, etc…
By CyborgJesus Sun Mar 18th 2018 at 8:48 am
Not to mention the westward and southern expansion after the American Revolution. Which slowly absorbed areas owned by even more french and spaniards. And of course the native people of Mexico(because Mexico used to include Southern California and Texas) Also it should be noted that before the Civil War individual states were far more independent and had sometimes vastly different cultures, beliefs, and laws. This was of course true afterwards as well and still true today, to a lesser extent, but before the Civil War the U.S.A was a true republic while now It would be considered a democracy(or maybe an ogligarchy though absolutely no one in power would be willing to agree/admit to it) as states not having the right to secede means that it is no longer a union of willing partners, and thus not a republic. But still either a republic or democracy will require a leader and voting(especially considering alien populations could vary widely and there is of course the possibility of hive minds and “super breeders”) may not be the best choice. So the question remains… Who’s gonna run this bitch?
I am sorry for the wall of text.. Hopefully no one reads it.

Why do American’s always act like they’re the only country in the world with a constitution? You know we ALL have one, right? More or less the same sort of document with minor variations? Some written worse than yours, some written better? How many amendments did you need before it became something you could all agree on ignoring together again?
Still think it’s brag-worthy? O_o
Alright alright… so it’s an important document and a part of history that help build your country to what it is today… which is pretty much the same reason why everyone else has one too.
