Especially when it was the superheroes’ time portal to begin with? In a crisis like this I’d be surprised if they didn’t want to check in on the portal they think they have themselves and I would certainly expect anyone on their side who built it in the first place to maybe start think of cranking out one or two more. >_>
Perhaps Claw’s current ownership of it isn’t necessarily the secret he thinks it is? o_O

Ah, so this might be why Captain Ultimo was so agreeable to (nearly) all of Claw’s demands in order to get his help. CU knows he had the TLP, and he knew that Claw didn’t know he knew, and he didn’t want Claw to know that he knew. After all, Claw would be more likely to use his “secret” weapons and gadgets if they stay “secret” (element of surprise, and all that), and he’s not being *too* devious and dastardly with them, and the TLP in particular, so it’s in better hands than many would expect.

Of course, there will be thousands upon thousands of alternate dimensions where they don’t have ANY weapons to defend themselves with, but whatever.

There would be infinite worlds where they don’t have any weapons. There would also be infinite worlds where they do have those weapons. At least I am pretty sure that’s how the Infinite Worlds theory works.
