Why does everybody assume that only removing someone important, or a close relative of someone important will massively affect history?
For all we know, this guy is a distant ancestor of Albert Einstein, JFK or Steve Jobs. Removing him might have a huge impact on the modern day, but it’ll certainly change history books

I mean ‘might not’. Accidentally left out the ‘not’

“Not Not”
“Who’s there?”
“Not Not”
“Well if it’s not Not, then who IS it??”

One time travel theory is that you can’t change the past, only make it happen correctly. Before they time traveled they were in a present where that guy stopped existing in the past because of time travel in the future that already will happen.

I’m a bit of a fan of the Loop Theory, stating you can’t change time because you’ve already done it.
Serious nostalgia for Harry Potter 3

Alternately, there’s the Many Worlds theory that says changes to the past create a new time line, but don’t alter your own history.

Wait, isn’t that Multiverse Theory, where each decision creates a new universe?

I believe they are the same thing, or at least closely related

In fairness, it doesn’t really matter. We already saw history get changed when Hannah the Barbarian got sent back to become the companion of Genghis Khan so this timeline has already left it’s original tracks. But yeah, the disappearance of an ordinary person could have as much repercussion as an “important” one since we can be mistaken about who is and isn’t important and someone who didn’t appear important could easily have had more influence on how things worked out then we realized. ^_^

Technically historical importance is inverse-transitory. If your descendant is important, you are important. Does not follow that you are important if your ancestor was, though.

If it’ll change ANYthing important, it doesn’t matter if he’s directly related to it, he’s still important indirectly.
For all we know, he could have sneezed at the right time to call attention to two people to notice each other and talk when they wouldn’t have otherwise. Maybe those two people decide to spend time together and something important comes of THAT— Then this guy sneezing at that moment becomes important and removing him causes a chain reaction of consequences.
In that light, everyone is important (unless you’re some nameless hermit who lives and dies alone without interacting with anyone or anything in any meaningful way) which is why most stories involving time travel will really drive home the point of “leave no trace.” Nevertheless, timetravel will always cause problems…which is why it’s nice to look at it from a less serious pint of view otherwise we’d all just go crazy when we get into the gritty details lol

She can make more batteries, right?
By Gianluca Burdon Mon Sep 10th 2018 at 7:18 am
I don’t see why not, though she should start looking towards more traditional manufacturing to mass producing.
The current administration and social climate would make it very easy for her to do so whle providing jobs to people in small rural towns

Aren’t the batteries what caused the time travel? If she can’t stop that from happening, pretty sure she shouldn’t be making more batteries.

otaku, i believe she thought it might be her dads power belt interacting with the chronal batteries. http://supervillainous.spiderforest.com/comic/just-for-decoration/
