I have to say – I totally laughed out loud with this one, and dragged #2 son over to read it ASAP. Can’t wait to see what happens next. Sort of hoping Ultimo doesn’t have to deal with typical – I’m this universe’s Claw….No, I am – but certain that if he does, it will be entertaining.

I’m pretty sure ‘That guy has two belts and a helmet and I have a phone with an open conversation with Lauren – and he has no idea what connection there could be between [Ultimo] and [Lauren]!’ would end any such convo. Or, that minus the open convo.

Don’t forget that Ultimo is a pretty good Superman Expy. Even if Alt Claw can ditch all the extra gear and/or toss it onto Claw Prime, Ultimo should have the super senses to go “Uh… yeah. Our Claw doesn’t have a scar here but has one there. Also, I can tell you’ve lived a life someplace like a post-apocalyptic war zone and not, y’know, doing so well you can retire and pass on the mantle to the alternate future version of your daughter.” Though, I wouldn’t put it past Ultimate, if he thinks the situations well enough in hand, to feign accidentally confusing them if it lets him prank Claw Prime. Or maybe as an excuse to remove Claw’s mask or something. 😉

If I were Ultimo I’d settle it by KOing them both and then sorting it out later when they both wake up bound hand and foot. ^_~

Earlier in the comic, Claw fought Ultimo as if he thought he could win. Alt crimson claw has triple or more the power our crimson claw could bring to bear at the time. Personally, I think it would be cool if Ultimo lost to Claw for once and then the family guard stepped in at the last second and saved the day somehow because FAMILY GUARD! Or Count Fang. I just- look, I just miss certain characters, ok?

If he really wanted to distract his other self, he’d tell him that Ultimo Has been dating his sister, thus making the other Claw question whether his sister was dating the Ultimo from his dimension. I mean, I know I would love to see that reaction again.

I mean, Claw is a legitimate opponent to Ultimo. Weaker, that’s to be sure, but 1/3 of his power? Ultimo might be in for a surprise. On the other hand, Anna is probably going to join in and it’s not going to be on Alt!Claw’s side.
