A colonel in disguise as a lieutenant general. Nobody will ever recognize him.
By Clell Sat Apr 8th 2017 at 2:50 pm
Yeah, I was going to say. Why is it so few people bother to look up the insignia of military personnel so as to match them to the rank?
By Zappit Sat Apr 8th 2017 at 4:10 pm
Supervillainous does not take place in the “real” world, though. This is not going to be a regular military unit by any means.
By Hinoron Tue Mar 12th 2019 at 6:18 am
Probably akin to “an elite group of military specialists” with the codename “General Infantry Joe”.
No it doesn’t make any sense.
It would have been very EASY to make it make sense, but “we don’t think much of the kids we’re entertaining, so fuck it.” (

Is the last panel a jab at Donald Trump? If so, could we please stop with that. Just accept the election results, admit that Hillary wouldn’t of been any better and move on!
By Random Guy Fri Apr 7th 2017 at 6:35 am
No, it’s a jab at ALL of the politicians.
By Gianluca Burdon Fri Apr 7th 2017 at 6:38 am
Let’s hope so

See Random Guy.
Also I’d guess that Hillary’s collateral damage would be less than Trump’s. She doesn’t need to do as much damage for her gain and profit. Also she doesn’t do as much out of hate against people-not-like-herself.
By Wizard Thu Aug 24th 2017 at 2:25 pm
Yeah, you might want to ask the Libyans about Clinton’s collateral damage. Just to give one example.
By Zappit Fri Apr 7th 2017 at 10:36 am
It was a general political jab, since nearly ALL politicians prefer the status quo. Seriously, are any of my characters subtle enough to do that kind of veiled insult? If they were going to insult someone in particular, it would be pretty dang blunt.

Nice to know! 🙂 🙂

Yeah. I didn’t take it as being about President Trump either. Though I am now hoping that “The Future” group ends up also being part of a government, maybe even the United States. They could represent the other unfortunate aspect of government, the one where officials (sometimes not even elected) are supposed to know how to better live your own life than you do, and if you disagree, they’ll make you comply, all in the name of “progress”. ¬_¬ Not to be mistaken for roles appropriate to the government, like protection from force and fraud. 🙂
Oh, and as for how Colonel Muster and The Future could both be working for the USA, besides typical jokes about how partisan our government actually is, it was designed with a system of checks and balances which included the assumption that certain aspects of government would naturally oppose each other. View it all through the crazy four-color lens of your typical comic book world and… well… it kind of makes sense that there would be actual battles between factions, just on the down-low. XP

I thought the last line was funny, and I voted for Trump. I just took it as a jab at government in general.

Also I wonder what their position is on the Onorabile Mafia is? Since they constantly blackmail the American Government – http://supervillainous.spiderforest.com/comic/the-action-faction-finale-part-1/

Colonel Muster? O_O

As in “Colonel Muster in the library with a lead pipe!” of Clue fame? o_O
*
I wonder if that means Miss Scarlet, Mrs. White, Mrs. Peacock and Professor Plum will all be on that commando as well? ^_~

S’actually “Colonel Mustard“. If my XHTML skills failed (and since I cannot edit my comment after it goes up), just to clarify, we have Colonel Muster in the strip, but the board game has Colonel Mustard, with a “d” at the end. “Muster” is a real word, and matches the character’s self-described role, so you’ll need to find similar wordplay for the others. Which I for one am not ruling out. 😉
By Otaku Fri Apr 7th 2017 at 3:32 pm
Speaking of messing up… I had an English fail and forgot that “mustard” contains an “a” while “muster” uses an “e”. As I had to address that, I should add that I like this kind of shtick; word-play that references a board game for minor(?) characters. XD
By Random Guy Sat Apr 8th 2017 at 8:24 am
Usually the mustards must muster in the morning making them mostly musty, sometimes dusty, and quite often fusty.
By ObregonUchiha Wed Sep 27th 2017 at 7:37 pm
You forget that in the late 1800’s factions of government did fight in blood brawls across cities in America. The new York police riot is only one example. http://thespecialistscomic.com/

Colonel Muster? How did he get out of jail? Last I heard he was under arrest for murder with the Wrench in the Billiards Room.
