So wait… Anna isn’t going to be a villain?!? Is this webcomic just going to be your standard superhero comic now?

…or is Anna just lying to Actioneer?

1.Looks like. ^_^
2. Maybe not.

3. Probably not, but she can’t entirely predict the future either.

Well, let’s be honest about it – the Claw family are *terrible* at being villains. They’ve only rarely done anything that was actually villainous, and after saving the world from alien invasion, they’ve demonstrated that they’re much better at being heroes than the actual heroes are.

This is the same group that made infinite gold and drugs. There criminal planning wasn’t that bad and even then some of it was ego driven.
The better question is how long will she last on the ‘nice’ route and what she will do for income or recruitment or just finding something to do within legal boundaries. Maybe she won’t be stealing gems for cash, but there is still a bunch of other things she could do that fall in the villain category

one might argue making infinite medication isn’t evil…
By Simon Sat Mar 24th 2018 at 10:02 am
Yeah, but the only thing criminal or villainous about their gold-duplication scheme was the parts they stole in order to make it work… and they spent a lot of the proceeds on saving the world.
As for duplicating high-priced medication… keep in mind that when the public think of drug companies, their image is shaped by the likes of that asshole Shkreli, bumping up the prices to extract more money out of people who’ll die without their meds. So if the Claws upset the drug companies and cause a glut in the market that forces prices down (as they did with gold), they’ll be public heroes again!

She said that she’s not going down the “Criminal” Route. That doesn’t mean that she’s not going to be a Supervillian. Of course, if she’s not going to be a Criminal, and she’s not going to lead a country, being a traditional Supervillian is going to be tricky, but let’s see what Zappit has in mind.

Mehh…
Even if she drops the supervillain stuff, that doesn’t automatically make her a superHERO. Claw has generally been shown to be pretty pragmatic, running his flying villain base more like a private company and Anna seems to be following him in that, so I’m expecting more of a morally neutral, pragmatic approach without the trappings of villainy (which were at times flimsy for Claw anyway and may have well been dragging the comic down a bit).
Like a superpowered consultancy/contractor company and maybe also a job agency for freelance supers looking to find similar work – given their recognition and unique base of operations, the Claw family seems uniquely well suited for that.
Of course, this poses a question on whether you can run a business of this magnitude while actually eschewing villainy, but I guess… we’ll see?

Hey, you know how I’ll sometimes make a prediction or observation that later turns out to be right and then I go “called it” all obnoxious like? I’m gonna hold off on that. For now…
By Towering Barbarian Fri Mar 23rd 2018 at 3:43 am
I like how Claw(Claw I?) and Anna are enough on the same wavelength that he instantly knew who she had in mind. ^_^
By Gianluca Burdon Fri Mar 23rd 2018 at 3:52 am
Hmm… Me thinks we should learn the original Claws name soon so we’ll know what to call him from now on.
By Bracey Fri Mar 23rd 2018 at 7:12 am
Maybe we can call him Clawdaddy…Im Southern so I went with a pun on the nickname for crayfish lol.
By Iron Ed Fri Mar 23rd 2018 at 12:28 pm
A good one!
…from North Carolina
By Otaku Fri Mar 23rd 2018 at 6:15 pm
…and now I’m thinking of Cranky Doodle Craw Daddy, a super-powered, evil American wrestler with a crawfish theme from Ultimate Muscle (or Kinnikuman Nisei, but the original Japanese version’s name was different XP). If you’re wondering how this makes any sense… I remembered the character’s name wrong, but decided to post anyway because hey, Kinnikuman!
By Towering Barbarian Sat Mar 24th 2018 at 5:01 am
I’m sure Claw would consider that better then having Max Smart call him “The Craw” all the time. ^_~
By Clell Harmon Sat Mar 24th 2018 at 3:39 pm
Call him ‘Clawdad’, because, why not? Besides, you know it would make Meat laugh.
By Catarina C. Fri Mar 23rd 2018 at 11:17 am
Maybe Anna just realizes that Actioneer isn’t really a hero.
By TacoTuesday Sat Mar 24th 2018 at 2:32 am
If this becomes a superhero comic…. how long until the reboot?
By Miidget Sun Mar 25th 2018 at 6:52 am
I want a Midget super hero squad
