I tried to keep these characters as close to their creators’ designs as possible, and there was such a variety that it’s making this arc a lot of fun to draw. The team is complete. The mission is set. Here we go!

Assuming Morf is an alternate spelling of “Morph,” does this mean the team has two shapeshifters? I notice that this kid is the only one who didn’t say what he could do. Well, him and Germania, but I figure she’s a badass normal. Unless her superpower is that her patriotism makes her fight better, and Morf’s power is… being a boy? I don’t know what his deal is.
Focus seems pretty cool, too. Always handy to have someone who can make shields. Always handy to have someone who seems sane and grounded.
Something tells me this team is going to need a lot of babysitting. Figuratively, and perhaps literally.

Focus doesn’t make shields. It’s a bit more like being able to spontaneously make balloons of water he has complete control of. Basically, he controls what’s in the bubble. Well, there is more to it than that, that’s just the basics of his power.
Also, I made him short mostly because there’s not enough short heros. There’s too many that look like Captain Ultimo, and not enough that’s not some sort of physical ideal (unless it relates to their power). There’s also not enough black hero’s, particularly black hero’s who’s name isn’t “Black” -Insert Blank-.

I feel ya, personally I wanted to make a Jehovah Witness Superhero, but I thought someone like GooFather would be easier for Zappit to write. I mean what do I expect, him to go onto jw.org everytime he wants to comment on the faith?

I went an easier route. Something noticeable and unused enough to count, but doesn’t affect script writing. In other words, things that will only affect the character’s appearance. Ideas on similar lines include an Asian Superhero who’s power’s aren’t Martial Arts or Asian Mystical Arts based, a Native American Superhero who’s power has nothing to do with “Nature” or Shaman, a Native Australian (Aboriginal) who’s power has nothing to do with “The Dream Time”, a Superhero from India who’s not connected to a Hindu God, OR …pretty much any type of Super Hero who’s ancestry came from the Middle East.

Meh, it happens. I’m not saying that the bubbles can’t, or don’t, work as shields, but it’s a secondary effect, at best, possibly even a tertiary effect.

#1 “Who is this kid? Is he invulnerable, better be invulnerable. If he isn’t should I grant him invulnerability. Nah, that just be rewarding stupidity.”
#2 “Instagram? F*ck. Hope she didn’t put any photos of me up there, or that my enemies are viewing it, or that they recognize me. Or else where all going to be shot, bombed poisoned and possible nuked… wait are they that stupid, no, wait, it’s the U.S. Government of course they’re THAT stupid”

I think Wi Fu is the only one in this bunch who can even match the disenfranchised Deadpool that the Actioneer appears to be. (Don’t blame yourself. Only so many superhero personae possible, really. Though I’d hope Focus steps up and takes over the team; Wade Wilson can’t lead for crap and he comes across like someone who can.)
